Thank you for choosing Legacy Handcraft. Because our furniture is handcrafted and often made-to-order, our return and refund policies are designed to protect both our customers and the integrity of our products. Please read carefully before making a purchase.
1. General Policy
- Custom and Made-to-Order items (including shelves and mantels) are not eligible for return or cancellation once production has begun.
- Murphy Beds are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- In-stock items (excluding Murphy beds) may be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided they are unused and in original condition.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs on eligible returns.
2. Damaged or Defective Items
- If your item arrives damaged or defective, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and a description of the issue.
- We will review the claim and, at our discretion, arrange for repair, replacement, or a refund.
- Items damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or modification are not eligible for replacement or refund.
3. Freight Deliveries
- All freight shipments must be inspected prior to acceptance. If you notice visible damage to the packaging or product, please refuse the delivery and notify us immediately.
- Hidden (concealed) damage must be reported within 3 business days of receipt.
- If a freight delivery is accepted with visible damage, the buyer assumes responsibility for any return or reshipping costs.
- Items refused or reported within these guidelines will be replaced at no charge. Please note that replacement parts for Made-to-Order products may take 4–6 weeks to ship.
4. Refund Process
- Once we approve a return, we will issue instructions for shipping the item back to us.
- After the return is received and inspected, refunds (if applicable) will be processed to your original payment method within 2 business days.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
5. Exclusions
The following are not considered defects and are therefore not eligible for return or refund:
- Natural variations in wood grain, knots, reclaimed markings, or color differences.
- Cracks, splits, or warping caused by environmental conditions after delivery (such as humidity or temperature changes).
- Damage caused by improper assembly, installation, modification, or misuse.
